| Pukka
was founded by a marketing team with
over twenty-five cumulative years of
experience deconstructing markets, identifying
gaps, and building products to fill
those gaps.
In 2000, the founders turned their
attention to the electric scooter
market. By the spring of 2001, they
developed the MyGo, an attachable
electric motor that converts foldable
kick scooters into front-wheel drive
electric scooters. The MyGo immediately
attracted the attention of Razor USA,
which negotiated a deal to distribute
the MyGo under the Razor™ XLR8R
brand (See http://www.razorusa.com).
The MyGo was an immediate sensation.
In the spring of 2002, the founders
left MyGo USA and formed Pukka USA.
They soon began work to develop the
concept of an electric minibike. Their
first product in this area is the
Pukka GX400C, a minibike for riders
up to 220 pounds.
Pukka is an English word that describes
the way that Pukka USA does things.
